Alteration

The school of Alteration revolves around altering the physical and magical properties of the world. This can be used to augment the self and allies, or hinder enemies.

For instance, you may be able to shield yourself against physical attacks with an Alteration spell, or you may even be able to increase the gravity around an opponent and drag them to the ground.

However it is not simply limited to you or another person, you can repair broken weapons, make a shield stronger, make a chill wind feel like a summer breeze, slow your fall from any height or even make yourself light enough to walk on the surface of water.

Below is a list of all the Standard Spells that are known to the world, and that you may learn from any teacher, or from any spell book.

Barrier
Cost: [Spell Level] x 20
Difficulty: +30-(10 x [Spell Level])
Self: The effect is applied to the source character.
EffectShield: Target gains a magic shield that provides 5*[Spell Level] bonus armor against physical damage for 1 minute.
Blade Mending
Cost: [Spell Level] x 7
Difficulty: +20-(10 x [Spell Level])
Touch: Applies the effects to a target of the source’s choice within melee range. Counts as a ranged attack with no AoO.
EffectRepair Weapon Reduces the X value of the Damaged (X)
condition of target weapon by [Spell Level].
Crushing Weight
Cost: [Spell Level] x 18
Difficulty: +25-(5 x [Spell Level])
Target: Applies the effects to a target of the source’s choice. Counts as a ranged attack that cannot be defended against.
EffectBurden: Reduce the target’s Carry Rating by [Spell Level] for 2 minutes. Imagine suddenly carrying an Anvil when you’re not expecting it.
Feather-light
Cost: [Spell Level] x 4
Difficulty: +25-(5 x [Spell Level])
Self: The effect is applied to the source character.
EffectFeather: Increases the target’s Carry Rating by [Spell Level] for 2 minutes. Essentially making everything you carry feel as light as a feather.
Fire Barrier
Cost: [Spell Level] x 10
Difficulty: +30-(10 x [Spell Level])
Self: The effect is applied to the source character.
EffectFire Shield: Target gains a magic shield that provides 5*[Spell Level] bonus armor against fire damage for 1 minute.
Frost Barrier
Cost: [Spell Level] x 10
Difficulty: +30-(10 x [Spell Level])
Self: The effect is applied to the source character.
EffectFrost Shield: Target gains a magic shield that provides 5*[Spell Level] bonus armor against frost damage for 1 minute.
Iron-Flesh
Cost: [Spell Level] x 10
Difficulty: +30-(10 x [Spell Level])
Self: The effect is applied to the source character.
EffectArmor: Target gains 5*[Spell Level] AR to all hit locations for 1 minute.
Leap
Cost: [Spell Level] x 3
Difficulty: +35-(5 x [Spell Level])
Self: The effect is applied to the source character.
EffectJump: Target gains a +30 x [Spell Level] bonus on their next horizontal or vertical jump test within 3 rounds.
Rising Force
Cost: [Spell Level] x 15
Difficulty: +30-(10 x [Spell Level])
Self: The effect is applied to the source character.
EffectLevitate: Target gains the Flyer ([Spell Level]) trait for 3 minutes.
Seal
Cost: [Spell Level] x 6
Difficulty: +30-(10 x [Spell Level])
Touch: Applies the effects to a target of the source’s choice within melee range. Counts as a ranged attack with no AoO.
EffectLock: Target door/chest is sealed with a magic lock. Counts as lock level [Spell Level], but can only be opened with the Open effect.
Shield-Mender
Cost: [Spell Level] x 7
Difficulty: +20-(10 x [Spell Level])
Touch: Applies the effects to a target of the source’s choice within melee range. Counts as a ranged attack with no AoO.
EffectRepair Armor: Restores [Spell Level]d5 missing AR from target armor piece.
Shock Barrier
Cost: [Spell Level] x 10
Difficulty: +30-(10 x [Spell Level])
Self: The effect is applied to the source character.
EffectShock Shield: Target gains a magic shield that provides 5 x [Spell Level] bonus armor against shock damage for 1 minute.
Slowfall
Cost: [Spell Level] x 3
Difficulty: +35-(5 x [Spell Level])
Self: The effect is applied to the source character.
EffectSlowfall: Target decreases the distance of his next fall within 3 rounds by 5 x [Spell Level] meters for the purposes of calculating damage.
Unhinging
Cost: [Spell Level] x 3

Touch: Applies the effects to a target of the source’s choice within melee range. Counts as a ranged attack with no AoO.
EffectOpen: Target lock of lock level [Spell Level] or lower is unlocked.
Basically, A Magic Key.
Water Breathing
Cost: [Spell Level] x 3
Difficulty: +35-(5 x [Spell Level])
Self: The effect is applied to the source character.
EffectWater Breathing: Target may breathe water as if it were air for [Spell Level] minutes.
Water Walking
Cost: [Spell Level] x 3
Difficulty: +35-(5 x [Spell Level])
Self: The effect is applied to the source character.
EffectWater Walking: Target may walk on water as if it were land for [Spell Level] minutes.
