Due to the game going quiet and the time in between playing, this particular adventure log will be doing a quick wrap up of events from after the last Adventure log.
The Night of the Prophecy, The Day of the Horror.
After returning to Riften with the Priestess the group earned a well needed rest, but not before they took their findings to the Jarl, or in this case her Housecarl.
They were rewarded and offered to stay for a feast, which Ra’sava did not pass up.
In doing so Ra’sava was the last to return to the Temple of Mara, where they were all offered beds.
Upon returning he heard sounds coming from the room where the Priestess was recovering… and as they say, Curiosity killed the Khajiit..
In the room he found her laying on a bed, tossing and turning. So, wanting to put her to rest he took a few minutes to brew up a Sleeping Draught.
As he approached to administer the Draught stilled and quickly opened her eyes, eyes which were now milk white with a faint outline of colour around her iris’s.
" When the Night Burns Crimson and Fire falls from the Sky,
Ancient Stone Walls will fall and from them Rivers of Ash and Blood will Flow.
Rivers of Silver White Gold shall roll through the land as the storm rises.
Then shall the waters freeze and the tide shall flow. " Her voice held a tone of gravity as the words spilled from her lips, as soon as they were done, she was then out like a light.
At this point, Ra’sava decided that he needed the Sleeping Draught far more than the Priestess, Drank it, then went to bed where he still struggled to sleep as the words replayed themselves in his head.
Several days later…
Ra’sava had found himself a job investigating a strange rot which had began appearing on many ships and shipping crates in the town.
The rot seemed to be only affecting wood, and accelerated the speed at which the wood aged.
It didn’t take long for the Khajiit to figure out that it was an created through alchemy and was not a natural rot or termites.
During his visit to the Alchemist in town, he ran into the Bounty Hunter Selania, who seemed to also be tracking the same case and had come to the same conclusion.
The pieced together what the ingredients were likely to be and Selania’s urgency to find the person involved kicked up a notch, Ra’sava didn’t know why, there was something she wasn’t telling him but he figured if he went along, he’d find out one way or another.
After a prolonged investigation and a steak out, they found the culprit and waited in ambush to capture him. However something always seems to go wrong in the presence of Ra’sava and the culprit spotted the ambush and began to flee.
After a short chase he was captured and dragged back into town where he began babbling…
" He’ll kill me, I won’t survive… He’ll kill me…I’ll end ."
He abruptly threw himself forward and surged away from Ra’sava who was holding him, the tripped and fell…
The sound of glass shattering was heard, then a blast of energy flew out in a radius around him, ageing and killing the foliage nearby, and also producing a foul smell.
The nearby guards took a few steps back, hands on their weapons.
After a several moments the man’s flesh began to warp, stretch and expand.. Arms growing several times the size normal size, bulkier.. turning into some kind of flesh-warped monstrosity.
Guards drew their weapons, Ra’sava, Selania, Celeyane and Sashja all followed suit as the horror roared loudly, his body and legs growing and warping too…. only for the monster to be felled with a single Arrow, a lucky shot to the head which was still yet unchanged.
(A total fluke if I ever saw one. A 9% chance…)
The remains were quickly sorted out, Fire. Fire was the answer. The Nords knew it, so they didn’t even need to think about it. Fire cleanses.
Skyrim to Cyrodiil: The Return of a Dragon, An Imprisoned Golden Saint…. And a Delivery.
It turns out the man owned a boat, and it was gifted to the group for saving the town and it’s people from what could have been a somewhat devastating brawl… however, all good things must eventually come to an end.. during the celebration on discovering they now own a shipping vessel, Ra’sava was approached by a woman known as Maven Blackbriar, who suggested that the ship be gifted to her, after all, she was the one who suffered the most out of all those merchants in town.
Now luckily for Ra’sava, he knew of Maven and quickly came up with a compromise, summarising that the vessel was worth a lot of money, and Ra’sava could sell it to her, for cheap.. so to speak.
In the end, Ra’sava sold the Ship to Maven for a good chunk of gold, and building supplies as well as man power to start the construction of the first building in “Elswyer Enterprises”.
Seemingly on Queue, the Khajiit Antonio turned up with another offer to Ra’sava.
All Ra’sava needed to do, as his first job for Elswyer Enterprises, was to deliver a large box to the town known as Cheydinhal. Being told that everything would be ready by the time he’s ready to leave, should he accept.
After being told that if he accepted he would be paid, and the good name of “Elswyr Enterprises” would be spread upon success, Ra’sava of course, accepted.
Later that night while Ra’sava was telling his ‘employees’ about their new job, a commotion struck up outside and people started filing out of the Tavern to find out what was going on.
A man had turned up, ragged, tired and dirty, raving about Markath and a Dragon who had taken the mines and killed many as it did.
This sounded a little too familiar for Ra’sava… so once again, he made himself a sleeping tonic…
They left the next day, finding a cart with a large stone box, roughly eight feet long and four feet wide.
" There you have it my friend, your object to deliver. All it needs, is to be delivered to Cheydinhal. In one piece. Undamaged. Without a Scratch. Not a Blemish Not even a… "
" Alright alright! Ra’sava gets it, safe and sound delivery, got it. He’s not even going to ask what’s inside it. "
And so the deal was made. That easy.
This is where they came across another Dunmer, a woman called Vendasea, seeming to be a mercenary of sorts, and also now seeking a way out of Skyrim, what better time to go than with a group who may need another sword arm.
So she was then hired on as a Caravan Guard by Ra’sava, and paid accordingly.
The trip to the border was mostly uneventful, as was the trip over the border and into Cyrodiil… with the exception of a few Mischevious Imps and a run in with a Forest Troll.
However, on their second night across the border fate decided to find them.
